Il ruolo della sanità integrativa nell’epidemia da SARS-CoV-2: una possibile integrazione con il SSN

Riassunto: L’emergenza sanitaria dovuta alla pandemia da SARS-CoV-2 ha evidenziato i limiti del Servizio Sanitario Nazionale e, considerando le conseguenze sul sistema economico del Paese, diventa fondamentale capire se il nostro sistema sanitario è sostenibile e pronto ad affrontare le sfide attuali e dei prossimi anni. Anche il settore della sanità privata è stato messo a dura prova ma ha risposto in modo immediato e flessibile all’emergenza soprattutto in un’ottica di sussidiarietà e di solidarietà al sistema pubblico. In questo contesto, la collaborazione e soprattutto l’integrazione tra pubblico e privato può diventare la chiave di volta lasciando sempre allo Stato, attraverso il SSN, il ruolo centrale. Per fare questo è necessario rinforzare il ruolo della sanità integrativa partendo da una chiara e definitiva regolamentazione del sistema ed avere una visione integrata pubblico-privato per un progetto di medio e lungo termine di integrazione dei due pilastri del sistema sanitario.

Abstract: The health emergency due to the SARS-Cov2 pandemic has highlighted the limits of the National Health Service and, considering the consequences on the country's economic system, it becomes essential to understand if our health system is sustainable and ready to face the current and the next years challenges. The private health sector was also put to the test, but it responded immediately and flexibly to the emergency, especially with a view to subsidiarity and solidarity with the public system. In this context, the collaboration and above all the integration between public and private can become the keystone, always leaving the central role to the State, through the NHS. To do this, it is necessary to strengthen the role of integrative health starting from a clear and definitive regulation of the system and to have an integrated public-private vision for a medium and long-term project of integration of the two pillars of the health system.
